Probably more than half of our kids to do not belong here, but yet in programs designed to encourage positive behaviors, programs to nurture so many of these kids amazing and healthy talents..Places like these do not help our kids, but yet turn them harder, more angry, resentful, and so hardened when they come out..I've seen this time and time again..It is so heartbreaking to me when it all could have been avoided if someone would have listened..Some of the problem "I" personally believe we as a society are taught to think inside the box..it's time we allow our youth to open their minds and think outside the box and as long as it is in a healthy way, we as adults, parents, and community members need to embrace them and feed that fire.
